6 Week Parent & Baby Course with Joelle Pettitt

Tuesday 18th, 25th May, 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd June at 10.45 am - £70.00

6 weeks to crawling. Parent & Baby yoga offers quality physical stimulation including flowing postures, holding, movement and deep relaxation. It induces a happy, carefree and lively parent-infant interaction which develops as the babies grow.

Classes focus on rebuilding core support by toning the deep abdominal muscles using both postural and breathwork. Breath-led movements help to ease the aches and pains that can come from pregnancy & life with a baby – all the carrying, nursing and rocking can lead to tightness in the shoulders and neck as well as lower back pain.

These classes aim to help you rebuild your strength, re-energise and help you connect with yourself, as well as other mothers and babies who are all going through the same life changes as you. It can be a wonderful way to expand your support circle or just enjoy some time for yourself knowing that your baby is there safe alongside you.

You are welcome to feed, change or play with your baby any time throughout the class.

No previous yoga experience is needed.

Group sizes are small to ensure each student receives personal attention and a safe practice adapted to your body and needs.

Joelle has always been fascinated by the relationship between mind and body. After graduating from Kings College London with a degree in Neuroscience she developed a regular yoga practice and became dedicated to the study and practice of yoga.  Passionate about sharing the benefits of yoga with others.

Joelle trained as a yoga teacher in London in 2011 and regularly attends workshops and teacher training courses to deepen her understanding.

When can I start postnatal yoga?

You can begin anytime after your 6 weeks check (this may be 8 weeks post c-section) and can continue to come to classes with your baby until they are crawling.

What do I need to bring?

All mats and props are provided so all you need to do is turn up in comfortable clothes that allow you free range of movement.  It’s a good idea to bring a warm layer of clothing so you can stay warm during relaxation and some toys or a blanket for your baby.

Do I need to book?

Class sizes are small so booking is essential.  You can book online
